002.2026 — Tender

Proposition

Tender is a live participatory artwork that only exists through the beliefs and decisions of those who take part.

The work offers an opportunity to consider your relationship to money, power, identity, labour, and self-presentation. How much of who you are is shaped by what you own, earn, or exchange? What remains when your identity is withheld? How do you imagine other people see you?

Ask

Participation involves spending an agreed period of time seated within the gallery while visitors enter one at a time.

You remain separated from the audience by an obscured glass screen that conceals your identity.

As part of the work, participants choose a monetary submission of any amount from £1 upwards. The amount you choose will be displayed in the gallery. Your identity will not.

Registration is free, and the submission amount can be discussed upon further conversation.

Details

Following your participation, I offer the opportunity to debrief and discuss the experience if you wish.

Any ongoing relationship to the project — including acknowledgement in future texts, access to documentation, or entitlement to material produced through your participation — can be discussed on an individual basis.

Seats are limited.
